These instructions will guide you through the course request process for the upcoming school year. All registration will be completed with the advisor.

Which classes am I able to choose?

Class of 2023 (registering for 7th grade)
1. Please select a Fine Arts. You may choose 1 of the 3 following options:
a.  Art 7, Drama 7, and Dance 7
b.  Middle School Choir* AND 1 of the following: Art 7, Drama 7 or Dance 7
c.  Beginning Winds & Percussion, MS Advanced Orchestra, Wind Ensemble or Strings 7 AND 1 of the following: Art 7, Drama 7 or Dance 7
*Please note that MS Choir is by audition only.
2. Please select a World Language. You should continue with your 6th grade language or you may begin Latin.

Class of 2022 (registering for 8th grade)
1. Please select 2 Fine Arts electives* or 1 Fine Arts elective and Digital Makers 8. Please include an alternate for one of these courses.
2. Please select a World Language. You should continue with your 7th grade language or you may begin Latin.
*Please note that MS Choir is by audition only.

Directions

  1. Log into MyGPS and select the Course Requests tab .
  2. Read the instructions for your class, either 2022 or 2023. Each student will select options for Fine Arts and a World Language.
  3. Click the gray dropdown arrow beside your grade level for next year.
  4. To see a description of the course, click on the course name. To shrink it back, click on it again.
  5. To add a course Request, click the Request button. You’ll notice that the request is added to the right side column under Selected Requests.
  6. To remove the request you can click the red X on the far right or click the remove icon on the far left.
  7. To add a note you can click the yellow sticky note on the right side (next to the red x).
  8. Save your requests by clicking the blue Save button in the lower right corner.

Registration for 8th-grade courses only

  1. To add an alternate to a Fine Arts course you select the +Add Alternate, begin to type in the name of the course and click enter when it appears.
  2. Save your requests by clicking the blue Save button in the lower right corner.
